It's getting close to that time of year again.  I just hope we haven't got too much rain here.  We have had just over 13" in March and it is sloppy as all get out in the woods!

My Dad picks mushrooms,I used to go with him when I was younger, I don't eat em my self, I don't know which ones are safe other than the brown buttons. Dad takes his beagle with him and looks for shrooms while the dog runs the bunnies and gets his exercise.

Do you have Morels there? I don't usually mess with anything but the Yellow and Grey ones here since the rest of them just fall apart in the skillet... Well unless the hunting is slow. Gives me an excuse to be out in the woods when nothing is in season anyway!

I don't know what do Morels look like? like I said My Dad picks em. He usually picks the Brown buttons and sheep heads when he finds em.

I have heard of a few people finding random black ones (peckerheads) but no grays or yellows yet.

I've been down in the woods here with Atlee and have not seen much here slawman. The woods near me are deep gully woods and this rain makes the trails down slick as snot.
