| I make hay for my wife's Miniature horses. She now has 38 of them.Last year I made 1100 bales on 7 acres but this year I have only 550 bales of 1st cutting. No 2nd cutting yet because of the lack of rain. At a horse auction last Saturday a load of brown grass hay(no alfalfa or clover in it) went for $5.75 per bale.Today we recieved a blessing from God of 1.8 inches of rain.I hope its not too little too late for my hayfield. Is this drought effecting everybody like it is in central Ohio? My yard grass is almost brown too.
Anyone want to buy a Miniature horse or two? | | | |

| It rained today !! A whole 1/4 of an inch !! I shouldn't be sarcastic but it was barely enough to dampen the dust levels. On a good note, there is more rain in the forecast. | | | |

| | That is how it was for us last year, but for some crazy reason it has rained a lot down here this year. We are 16" above average and it keeps raining, so hopefully you guys can get whatever we are getting. | | Crystal City, Zavala County, Deep South Texas | |
