Wait you mean the "Chuckin' Corner" no longer exist.

Of course it still exists. Just not here. It's like Camalot. The old BT was the birth place of the Chucking corner. When it was banned here, It and the group took up residence on another forum. The family is strong.

Wait for me I'm on my way.

Well that is great to hear the family stone still exists. Some who are part of the other forum still come here despite the nagging dust. Some habits die hard. You know.... I just asked in the Admin Section what everyone thinks of adding a similar thread here to what was the old chuckn' corner. New name of course. I was not ever against it. It ended before I joined the old site. I never really understood why it ended. I had asked for it's return a few times but I was told no. Perhaps now, it can be revived. I was not ever against friendships on this site. Everyone needs to cut loose, have a good time, joke it up, and have a place for one liners and to talk about life. In a group we all magnet ourselves toward those we like... nothing wrong with that at all. Despite anyone thinking I never liked them, I have enjoyed immensely the sarcasm and the humor. Nothing wrong with biting sarcasm. Well... I did recently ask for the revival of a "Chuckn' Corner" type of thread. So we'll see what the other Mods and the Admin think. I'm all for it. I'm not quite the big bad **&^^ so many think I am. : )

Unfortunately for now as it works only Mods and the Admin have the edit and delete features.

A portion of the "Family" some of the other "Chuckers"  (including the chucking founder) were not able to make the gathering.  A lot of former BT mods pictured here.

Perhaps this is time for a new beginning. Letting the past finally lay where it belongs.. in the past. There is a lot of anger for things that have been said, things that have been done. There have been a lot of apologies and I am not sure if anyone has taken those to heart. I know there are members from the old gang who read the posts here on the new site. When an opportune moment arises for a good input they make themselves known here. There are some of us who were not in on the big crisis situation that created all of this anger. We are just trying to remain members here on this free forum and enjoy it. Some from here have met and gotten to form friendships.. this is Wonderful. Some like myself, work long hard hours, and barely have time to turn around, and just find the site great for online friendships. I'm just wondering if, finally, some avenue toward a more amicable future here on Buckmasters can be found for all members?

IMO, holding onto anger hurts those who do the holding more than others.  I've gotten angry, sure, but I choose to not let it dictate or reign over me.  I just smile, find a way to find some humor, and move on.  I cannot control what others think of me or how others think in general.  I only have the power to control my thoughts.  I choose to think positive and not let negativity run me down.  In the whole realm of the world, and how ****** up it is, this is a hunting, outdoors, learning, sharing forum and I am smiling as I write this and will continue to smile and will continue to enjoy it here.  I hope some others find a way to enjoy it again too.

it sure would be good to go back in time, back around 2000 when the real good ole days were happening, but change came about and things became different. here is a web site of one of the good ole boys, and if your lookin down on us Devo, still got your back and lookin after cyberbilly for ya
http://members.tripod.com/acorn_breath/full_friend.htm
A lot of the web pages are gone now, all but a distant memory, some still are up and running, thankful for the almight WWW. Almost each person had their own web page showing off their talents. I still keep in touch with some of the old group and will continue to do so with or without the forum.
The history of the forum is cyclical, it gets moving at a great rate, things change and it slows down for about a year and then back up and running, not sure why it does but after watching the past 8 years in buckmasters i am likely one of the few that can say this. This is the 5th or so change in forums, and no other hunting web page has ever been as fun, popular and user friendly as it was in 2000.
I accepted the change, perhaps the "chuckers" should do the same

Dobber........ "but change came about and things became different."

That was the crux of it all. It didn't have to. We know WHO forced the change.

Not sure why???

1!!! That's sad. I guess you can't go home after all. At least we have the memories of the GOOD old days.

2chucks, a lot of those 6,845 members could be spam bots that register on sites to gather email addresses so they can send spam. The list of total members to me means nothing. Some people....not all...may have or don't know how to register for the site and end up with multiple registeries.

My own forum has over 700 members and probably no more than about 300 to 400 have ever logged in after registering.

There are always growing pains when a forum upgrades to new software. Some people don't like the change and leave, but never remove their registration. As has been mentioned right now most deer seasons and probably most hunting seasons are over. So now there is a lull in the activity on the board. When turkey season kicks in and when deer season starts to approach you will see more activity on the board.

So I look at it that we are in one of those down cycles right now and as hunting season get closer we will start climbing back to the top.

Who was here and who is here doesn't matter, what matters is what hunting is about. Hunting is about friendships, families, having a good time, fellow hunters getting together and becoming friends and sharing hunts and memories and good times.

There was a group of people that wanted to be friends and welcome anyone else to be with them...like a hunting community should. For some reason there were people that didn't like that idea. To this day it is not known why?

Sure people use this place for info during the hunting season, but there is no "Friends and Family" type atmosphere here. Post your cold dead info, but don't try to be friendly or have any kind of fun. It's SAD. Totally sad! Commercializing a hunting forum...Just SAD. One of the BEST resources in the world to unite US as hunters and there has to be jealous people that throw sticks in the spokes of the on-line hunting community.

THAT is why a bunch of people left. It was not because they didn't like someone or something, or what was said, it's because they couldn't have a good time like we SHOULD be doing as a hunting community.

Y'all keep your commercialization! I got my friends and that's all that matters to me!

We will be family and share hunts and have a good 'ol time! Oh and share stuff too!

I enjoy this site and I think that it has a friendly atmosphere, sure there are some heated debates, even a few arguements.I find alot of info and have meet several folks I have become friends with.
maybe some of the rules have gotten tougher and usually there is a good reason for it.
I would not mind my kids visting this sight because of the way it is run.I like most of the things on this site except all the advertisments, but it has to be paid for some how.
