since nobody around the new land we bought is interested in QUALITY DEER MANAGMENT ( mature deer hunting ) and it's kill what you see there are very few mature buck's here, I have only seen one just decent buck and everybody I 've talked to say's their going to kill any buck they see, well I am going to too. if I don't I won't kill anything
I don't like this much but I like deer meat too.

It's hard to manage your herds if no one else wants to.I used to be that way,but after several years of antler restrictions,it's starting to show.
Over the last couple of years, our club has produced some really good deer.

I kind'a wish the state would impose an antler restriction on all buck's for a while just to see if it would work here
there are way too many doe's and a liberal season on then why can't we let some of the small buck's walk and take doe's

THis is our 8 or 9 year of antler restictions here in Arkansas, it definitly has made a huge difference.

One of the counties I hunt is four on one side and tines have to be and inch long. We also can kill 10 doe's. After about four years we have really noticed the racks are bigger and there is more of them. However I know how U feel about other hunter's shooting any thing that walks by. I hunt in different county also and if it's brown it's down. And U really can tell the difference in the quality of deer.

The change has to start somewhere... One hunter practicing self imposed limits may not seem like a start but if he/she practices what they preach then the hunters around them may start following suit. Then more see the results af a confined area and word starts to spread. It's the Forrest Gump "I just felt like running." scenerio.
