looks like we had our first case in Montgomery county in central Illinois this week. The landowner where I hunt found a nice 8 pointer by his lake. we need colder weather to kill those bugs.

Connie talked to a guy at the football game last week. Said he saw 3 bucks dead in the creek near his house. One was a real nice 12 pointer. Somewhere around Edwardsville I think Silver Creek. I hope it frosts sooner than later. Some rain would be nice too. I haven't seen any dead around the farm but there are bound to be a few.

A buddy of mine talked to a CO in Calhoun County, was told the State is expecting between 50 and 60% heard kill off there. I guess that might be one reason why we seen so few deer this year.

Has to be for 2007, they can't predict what or if we'll have that problem next season. I wonder why mostlt bucks were victims of this, seems like thats all I heard about were bucks being found.
