Hi all, Been looking at a Tikka T3 Hunter in 270. I like the look, feel and balance of the gun. Just curious does anybody have any first hand experience with this gun? and The one I found is new in the box, walnut stock for $579.00 Good Deal or not?
Thanks

I have a T3 Lite in Stainless in a 308 cal. Great rifle weighing in under 7#'s. Good controlled recoil. My only problem is not with the rifle but with the company, Beretta, which is owned by Sako out of Finland. I wanted to mount a EoTech site and wasn't able to do so without purchasing a picatinny rail ($90) from the company. Was told on two occassions that the items was in stock when I checked my order status three days after ordering the rail it still showed being processed. I called and was again told that the item was in stock. After three more days I rechecked and found my order to be on back order with no delivery date available. The item comes from Finland. So far I haven't been able to have anyone give me a ship date. There are limited gunsmiths for the Tikka for this same reason, parts not available, if you have a need for repair it might have to go back to Finland. Good luck

Viperone makes a good case to buy the scope at the time of the rifle. That way any distribution problems will impact sales. It's funny how those situations are usually resolved faster than service after the sale. I'm not saying that it's always that way, but if service is going to falter, it usually starts with after sale service. When it falters before sales, that's when a business is in real trouble.

I have a Whitetail hunter (pre T3). I love the rifle. I've taken several deer, coyotes, and even prairie dogs with it.
