| | Gonna be making my first trip to Idaho for elk this fall and was wondering what the best type of bullet for elk is? I'll be shooting a .338 win mag. Most people I've talked to said ballistic tips, but I'm not a big fan of them. Are other rounds effective? Going out west for the first time, so any tips would be appreciated. | | You can have my guns, when you pry them from my cold dead hands. | |

| | I'am a true fan of the Nosler bullet's out here I like the Partition's an Accubond's,those bullet's have never let me down, except for the Ballistic tip's.I wouldn't suggest useing the Ballistic tip's for elk.Good luck with your hunt an where would you be hunting at in Idaho ? | | | |

| | I love ballistic tips but wouldn't use them on Elk. Needs to be some type of bonded bullet. | | 'Cuz deer huntin' ain't catch & release! | |
