| | Need opinion's. Since I was injured about 2 year's ago, I have lost about half the use of my left arm. I own a T.C. cotender in 44 ca. Since I basicaly will be using my right hand, I want to try hunting with my T.C. I just don't care for the 44. Thinking of ordering a 7/30 waters from bullberry. Mounting a burris ballistic plex scope. What do you folk's think. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you. | | | |

| | well I think you might want to think on that one,if a 44 is to much,a 7/30 waters is gonna be way to much.Basically a Waters is a 30/30 rifle shell necked to a 7mm bullit,it is more powerful than a 44 mag.I'd think you would want to lower recoil, etc. If it was me with a weak arm,I'd go with a 6.5..7mm TCU or even a 7mm Whisper/300 Whisper, way less recoil with those.Course you might have to get a little closer for a killing shot, but those would be more comfortable to shot. | | | |

| | I would also look at the 243,260 or 7mm-08.My 13 year old shoots them all with no trouble.I also have an injury to my left arm that affected my strength in my hand and I shoot a Ruger M-77 Mk II in a 270,I had a muzzle brake installed and it cut the recoil alot. | | Tubby The God of My Rock;He Is My Sheild; And The Horn Of My Salvation 2 Samuuel,Ch 22 | |

| | btr568,and tubby, Hey guy's, thanks for the info. I didn't realize the 7/30 waters was that much more gun. tubby. I own 2 ruger 270's that I was shooting. No muzzle break though. Can't take the recoil. I'll look into the lighter contender barrel's. I'm about ready to give it up. Thank's again. | | | |

| The muzzle brake will help alot and it's not as expensive as a T/C barrel, don't give up.I hope you find the cal you are looking for. Just because we have limited use of our hands doesn't mean we don't have heart, desire can be a powerful ally ! | | Tubby The God of My Rock;He Is My Sheild; And The Horn Of My Salvation 2 Samuuel,Ch 22 | |

| | I have a T/C Contender, in 35 Remington it has a 14" barrel with a muzzle brake, It is a pleasure to shoot,very accurate,and the recoil is about the same as a 357Mag, T/C Contender,Carries like a pistol,Shoots like a Rifle ! | | | |

| | Jeff,I ain't supposed to do this but what the hey.Go to and register at Graybeards.com.There is a WHOLE bunch of TC geeks on that forum, they will be ablr to help you better than I can. Also do the same at Accurate Reloading.com,but I think theirs is under either Pistol shooters/hunting or single shot firearms. Both are big sites so be prepared to explore for a while | | | |
