| I was just wondering what brand of semi auto shotgun you guys would recomend it will be used for ducks, geese, turkey, skeet and just about any thing else you can think of. Im looking to spend around $500-600 on one. Ive been looking at the stoeger 2000 and the remington 11-87 in 12 guage.I was also looking at the H&R excell auto. I would like it to be camo. remember im on a 14 year olds budget.
thanks!! | | GONE HUNTIN'!

| | I had a Remmington that worked very well so I would have to recommend that of the ones you listed, but the Benelli Super Black Eagle II is a much newer and likely better design and worth mention the USMC bought their shotguns from Benelli which says a lot about reliability. http://www.benelliusa.com/firearms/sbe2.tpl | | THUNDERHEAD 125 ))))==========> THE BUCK STOPS HERE | |

| | If you want a semi auto,go with Remington.I shoot a Benelli Nova pump and it's only around the $300 to $400 range and it handles everything up to the 3 1/2 | | Tubby The God of My Rock;He Is My Sheild; And The Horn Of My Salvation 2 Samuuel,Ch 22 | |

| Personally I would go with the Remington too... If you decide to do anything else with it, it would be the more versatile gun. You can normally pick up various lengths of barrels at any gun show pretty cheap and rifled slug barrels for it that aren't too expensive. I have an old Remington 1100 and in the 25 years that my old man had it and the 9 years that I have had it, it has never had a problem at all. Plus if you want to get camo stocks, scope mounts, etc pretty much anyplace has them... I just looked yesterday at a camo stock and forearm for it and it was only 60 bucks. I don't know how much a Benelli one cost but I bet the selection is pretty slim for under $100!!!! | | "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." Benjamin Franklin | |

| I aquired an 11-87 SP (special purpose) when they first came out with it an am still using it. It has the short "deer barrel" with rifle sights, but instead of a fully rifled barrel it has screw in chokes.
I added a side mount scope mount and a Bushnell Trophy Taker scope. The scope works well with a screw-in turkey choke for turkey hunting as well as with an "improved cyl" using Brenneki sabots for deer.
I will never part with this gun. It has never jammed once since owning it.
IMHO..................Remington 11- 87

| | I shoot a charles daily semi auto. they are in cunjuntion with remington. All the chokes and barrles interchange with the remington. fully camo and synthetic. very light and easy to handle. I paid 400 for mine. This is the best shotgun that I have ever owned, and it came with 3 chokes. If I were you, I would check into this gun. It is a super sweet shooting gun. I have killed turkeys out to 48 paces with mine. very good gun. | | | |
