I am seriously considering getting this muzzleloader:

It only cost 179.99 from Cabelas.
Here is the info from the Cabelas web page.

CVA Buckhorn 209 Magnum Rifle with Scope and Starter Kit
All the top-performance features of modern in-lines in a package that's priced for anyone from the beginner to the veteran woodsman. The 24" 1-in-28" twist barrel offers complete powder burn for maximum velocity and downrange impact. An ultra-reliable in-line 209 ignition system delivers optimum flash to ignite powder or pellets for shot-after-shot precision and zero delay between the hammer drop and main-charge ignition. Plus, it handles up to a 150-grain magnum charge to send a saboted bullet or conical streaking to the target. Dual-retention points between the barrel and stock retain a rock-solid hold for shot-to-shot consistency. A shock-dampening CrushZone™ butt pad absorbs recoil. Hollow stock with integrated grip panels and sling swivel studs. Illuminator™ fiber-optic sights. Comes with a Cabela's Pine Ridge® 2.5-7 x 32 scope with mounts and rings. Drilled and tapped for mounting a scope. The Muzzleloader Starter Kit comes with most accessories needed to shoot and maintain your muzzleloader. It includes 20 Shockwave Sabots (200 gr., 45 cal.; 250 gr., 50 cal.), Composite T-Handle Short Starter/Ramrod Extension, Super Jag with integrated spire-point bullet tip, three speedloaders, 209 capper/decapper, bronze cleaning brush, 4-oz. bottle of Cabela's Black- Powder Solvent, 1/2-oz. Tube of Superlube and 25 cleaning patches. .50 caliber only.
Length: 42".
Weight: 6.3 lbs.

If anyone has used or owns this muzzleloader,or has some input they could offer... please do so.
Thank you,
Newhunter

I would be leery of the scope. You get what you pay for.

Hey, I got the older version 209 Eclipse, same model at the buckhorn, and staghorn, payed only $99.00. These are the cheaper models, but, useing 295 gr power belt, and only 100 grains of pyrodex. Very accruate out to 100 yards. And have killed a 310 lb boar, 82 yards. You don't really need 150 grains to hunt deer or hogs in GA. Really, you'll waste powder and have a sore shoulder or black eye using 150 grains. Stick with 100 grains, use 295 or 245 gr power belt, you can't beat it.
