I shot a buck broadside with a Lightfield 12 guage slug, and it  did not go completely through the deer.  This has happened more than once.  The slugs are super accurate, but I wonder about their power.  Any ideas on this?

I've NEVER had an issue with the lightfield slugs! What was the distance of your shots?

I don't think I have ever shot any slug and not had it go through the deer? My brother shot one at 150+ yards in the spline and it lodged in there but it was quartering very hard away and it pretty much had to travel up the spine... I would think it would have to be that or a shoulder blade to shoulder blade shot placed just right??? Still can't see why it would do that twice???

Are they all out of the same lot? I usually sight in a gun and shot one out of every box I get to make sure they are consistent. I have had various different kinds shoot bad and it seems that if one in the box shoots different then all the ones in the box will... Maybe weak powder charge? It would be consistant but not with the knockdown power that everyone seems to really talk them up for...
