| after installing mine, there was no noticable difference in speed from my TM Hunter (prong) rest. It would be very interesting to see some results from a chronograph however.
i did a little searching into it in google and most people say its about 2-5 fps. | | --Dustin

| | I put a HOSTAGE rest on my bow this year & so far am very happy with it. It's the same principal as the biscuit put only hase 3 points of contact. The fletches never touch any of the bristles. Very impressed so far. It gets an A+ in my book | | | |

| | It is without a doubt the best rest ever made----bar none. I've had one for 5 years, the old style (no slot in side) and I still don't want to change it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. | | | |

| | I have the old style and cut my own slot. It works flawlessly. I shoot in a league and am consistently in the top 25% in accuracy. For hunting, the full capture design simply can't be beat. When hunting, you move your bow in a lot of different angles. You don't need to be worrying if your arrow is still on your rest. Accuracy and confidence are more important than raw speed. Losing a few fps is a non-issue. | | | |

| This topic is older, but I would like to add in that if you get one, get the more expensive one. The lower cost model that you see in most wal-marts are a PITA to get papertuned. The commenter above was right. A secure rest more than trumps the loss of 1 to 3 feet per second.
Lastly, if you do install one, make sure that you tune your arrow nocks so that your vanes pass through the brown "whiskers" and not the stiffer Black ones at the bottom. Those are there for arrow support, and should not be shot through..

| | I too switched from a TMhunter to a WB. I love the 'holding' capability of the WB. The only downfall I find is that after alot of shooting, my vanes become ' wavy ' or warped. However, I do shoot XX78 2315's with 4 in. vanes, so there is alot of vane get through those wiskers. | | | |
