| | I have never hunted from a ground blind before. My wife is hunting with me this year and does not feel compfrotable in a treestand. I have been doing a lot of research online. Based on price and value, I am thinking about the Ameristep Intimidator, or dominator. Any suggestions? | | | |

| | what ever you will fell comfortable shooting out of one tip try to put your blind out a day or two before hunting so deer will get used to it just my opition | | | |

| | I've had an ameristep for 3 years-kinda awkward for bows-the dog house blind I believe -kinda tight height wise-if you can shoot while sitting or kneeling it may be fine!!! and yes put it out a couple of days a head of time-I have had to learn to shoot while sitting in a chair-but then again I have an old white tail 2 compound-works well with my cross bow!! | | | |

| are you hunting in really thick stuff or open field....
you may not have to hunt "in" a blind at all if the wind and set up is right.

| ps have the first generation ameristep...would absolutely go with a dog house if it is to be you AND her in the blind...you will be too cramped in the basic ameristep blind....I have one and wish I had a bit more space....

| | I tend not to like ground blinds with fabric sides - they move in the wind - scares the deer. I have two tripod stands to which I have attached plywood sides. These work particularly well tucked between two evergreen trees and can be placed where other stands can not be placed. They have been used for three years now with GOOD success. | |

| | Whatever pop-up blind you pick, you will not want to hunt any other way. I just got back from my ranch where opening bow season for whitetails began. I have used a tri-pod for the past couple years, but I love my pop-up. I had deer about twenty yards from me without them even knowing I was there. Being able to move the blind where ever you want is the biggest advantage against whitetail's. | |
