what do yall prefer in fletching? right now im shootn easton 2314 superlites with 4 inch vanes. I was thinking about switching to the 4 inch feathers instead. anyone have any input on vanes vs feathers? (faster, lighter, better performance)?

Sarcasm will only gain you friends. Sorry I wasn't here immediately to weigh on your question.

Feathers can be heavier than many of our modern plastics. One advantage they have over any plastic, is that they tend to be resilient through damage, more so than plastic. One major disadvantage is the increased drag and decreased arrow speed.

Have you considered other options? Smaller and shorter plastic vanes are quite effective. These may be 2.25" blazer vanes or quikspins. I've recently started using the Fletchings Only Better. It's a solid plastic airfoil. An engineer designed them. They seem to hold an arrow straight on track with ease of replacement.

If you want to go to feathers, it might work for you. There is a reason they were on arrows for several thousand years. What are your exact reasons for wanting to change from your current fletchings?
