I have a spot where the max. distance on a shot will be 20 yrds. Scouting has lead me to believe I have a 90% chance of taking a 10 yrd. at 20 feet above shot. I have GT5575 370grn total weight. I also have CX HE350 470grn total weight. Same broadhead on both. I am thinking I should use the HE350 and get the benefit of better penetration. The flat trajectory of the lighter GT's will give me no benefit since I will not be shooting 30-40 yrd shots. What do you think?

at 10 yds out and 20' high, any arrow should give you great penetration. Its just my opinion but whichever arrow you like best will do the job fine.

I also think at that close of shot any arrow will get the job done

emmac, you already know what i say. go heavy incase you hold alittle forward and do happen to hit shoulder, the 470 gr. will give you better penetration than your lighter arrow.

Phoenix, I will most likely do as you said. The heavier arrow is quieter, flies better, and will hit like a train. Last year at the same hunting spot, I shot a 6 maybe 8 pointer high in the shoulder. He bedded 60 yrds and 90 minutes later he jumped. I used a 390 grn total weight Horton crossbow bolt with NAP spitfire out of a 150# crossbow. This year it will be 470 grn total CX HE350 with NAP Thunderhead out of a 28" 64#compound at 233fps. Everyday I have new sign at this spot. I don't want a repeat of last year.
