Just want opinions on whether changing cloth string vibration dampeners, that seem to be working fine on my bow, over to string leaches or a similar product would be beneficial.  The guys at Gander Mountain tried to get me to change over.  They said that the cloth ones are not as good because they slow down your bow.  That might be true, I guess, but is it that substantial?  Please freely share your thoughts.

i have them, they seem to work pretty good.

here's a thought, ask them if they can guarantee that you will get a better FPS by changing, then shoot through a crono before the change, then after.   if it doesnt increase, have them take them off.  Of course this will only work if they have a crono there.  of course, report back your findings

there is this chart as well:

anything you put on your string will slow it down. The more surface area an item has, the more drag it will cause. Since the cloth type has more surface are than the rubber string leaches, they will create more drag thereby slowing the bow down more.

I use the rubber leeches now as well. I usually have to have them replaced every year by my bowshop. However, they do perform better on my bow than the old cloth ones I was using.
