Well I just got my first bow on Monday. Man is this thing fun! I have a Parker Buckhunter with a 5 pin Black Gold sight and whisker biscut rest. I bought the bow bare from Ebay and got the accessories after and had them installed by the guys at Bass Pro. They were so helpfull to a rookie and helped me get the first pin set and made sure my form was good before I left. Man I fel like a dummy for not getting into bows sooner. I have been invited to my friends place to hunt turkey and deer this year. Man October won't get here soon enough.

I didn't take up bowhunting until about 5 years ago. Bought a used Bear Archery Whitetail at gunshow for $50 and got hooked. It took two years before I made my first kill with a bow, but it was worth the wait. Now I'll grab my bow or at least a crossbow more often than I use a rifle. Good Luck with your new rig and get plenty of practice. Make sure you try some shots out of your treestand and any other possible position you may find yourself in.

Welcome to the club. Be careful....it's very very addictive. Practice as much as possible and best of luck. Nothing like the close encounters you get with bowhunting. Enjoy!
