| What would be the best brand of bow to start my 12 year old daughter with.
She has no problem with 40 to 45lbs of draw weight, but i dont want to have to buy her a new bow every year as she grows. | | May the hunting Gods be with you.

I just started bow hunting to and the bow that someone got me to help get started was a PSE Whitetail Extreme Compound Bow Package. But the lowest setting for this that you can buy is a 50-60LBS, according to Bass Pro Shops website anyway. So I did a search for 40-45 lbs and one that came up was PSE Nova Hunter S8 Compound Bow Package. This is a 40-50 LBS set-up and it comes with a lot of stuff. Check it out at
http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=96229&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults
I love my PSE bow. I do not know if there are other set ups for 40-45 LBS or not. When I did the seach it listed several other stuff too, in fact 374 items, and most of what I seen were not bows. And some of the ones I did see were not 40 - 45 LBS some most were 50 LBS or more.
But I hope that helps.

| Look into a Parker. They have a program were you send in the bow to have it reset as your child grows. I saw the info when I was on thier web site.
I have a Parker Buckhunter the weight is adjustable between 60 to 70 pounds but the draw can be set between 26 to 31 inches just by moving a cam. They make Buckhunters with lower draw ranges and you can adjust while she grows.

| | I'd choose a PSE Nova or Spyder. You can grow with these bows. | | | |

| | I would go with the Mathews Ignition. My friend's daughter has one and she loves it. I believe she is 11 or 12. | | Only the dead have seen the end of war. Plato | |

| | Ignition all the way! My wife shoots one for 3d tournaments. Hers is set at 38 lbs, and to be that light its lightening fast. Also, to be a Matthews it only goes for around $300.00. Plus or minus 20.00/ I got my wifes for 299.00 but I get a shooters discount at the Archery shop I shoot for. | | Thwack'em and Stack'em! | |
