WE USE TO HAVE A BOW SHOP AROUND HERE THAT HAD A BOW SHOOT ..IT WAS LIKE A MOVIE SCREEN THAT YOU SHOT YOUR ARROW INTO WITH BLUNT TIPS AND IT MARKED THE ANIMAL WHERE YOU HIT IT.AND WHERE YOU SHOULD HAVE HIT... THEN IT WOULD SCORE YOU..IT WAS REALLY NICE.. AND IT TOUGHT YOU WHERE TO SHOOT AND WHEN NOT TO SHOOT LIKE IF ANOTHER ANIMAL WAS BEHIND THE ONE YOU WERE SHOOTING AT, SO YOU WOULD NOT HAVE A PASS THROUGH AND INJURE THE OTHER ANIMAL..I HAVE NOT SEEN OR HEARD OF ONE LATLEY......

I have also shot one of these kinds of shoots but the only difference is the one that I did we used field points and shot into a wall of two foot thick styrofoam, after 5 shots the video would freeze at each shot taken with vitals highlighted we`d mark our score and then shoot the next group. If I remember right we shot from 20 yrds and it does gives you better accuracy in where to aim. but the only problem is you`re only shooting flat, no incline or decline shooting but fun all the same.

We have a place just outside Dallas where we have a bow club. They have all sorts of 3-D targets, from Raptors to turkey...yeah, yeah....who hunts dinosaurs anymore....:) Anyway, they set these up from 10 to 60 yards through lanes of trees and brush. There are three lane sets, with six to nine lanes each; one with rolling hills, one level, and the other shooting from the top of a small ridge. Now, the challenges range from timed runs through the lanes, with accuracy being part of the score, to specific time periods requiring you to get the most accurate shot with in that time period. Oh, and although you know where the lanes are distances of the targets vary with each run. Obviously yoru competing against other folks walking the same course, but the changes in target size and position really keep you on your toes. Especially after you've just watched your ninth arrow go sailing off to who knows where cause your a newbie to the club. Membership fees help provide decent, but cheap, replacement arrows and once you get the hang of it, you hardly loose an arrow. It's great fun and it has helped my hunting skills improve vastly.
