As tubby said, go to your local pro shop. Have them watch you shoot, they should be more than willing to help you out! Good luck, let us know how you progress!!

I just started this year too.. and i was having the same problem for a good bit... what i noticed (for me at least) i wasn't consistent with my grip... id have open hand, closed, semi closed... and it really made my shots A LOT different. Once i finally caught on, i have really good groups now =]

Another possibility is loose sights...every shot jostling things around...make sure things are tight, then get to the shop for some work...

I gotta second or third what the other guys said and suggest you go to your local archery shop and get some pointers. I know that one problem I had was gripping the bow after I'd made my draw. Its kind of an odd thing, but when you grip the bow during your shot you have a tendency to torque the bow as you release the arrow. Its not much, but it is plenty to deflect your shot. If you can get a hand loop and open your hand after the draw, your bow will be doing all the aiming and you'll get more consistant shots. This is only one pointer, and there are lots others....so go to that bow shop and get some lessons...:)

Repeatability and confidence is the key to tight groups. All of the suggestions above are about that very thing. Having the same stance, draw, anchor point, release sequence is the key to accuracy. Your local pro shop will have all the bells, whistles and advice you need to tighten up those groups.

Also, know that hunting is different than target shooting. you may not have time, space or ability to get into a perfect shooting stance. Practice shooting from all the positions you may find yourself in when in whatever stand/blind you are using. Confidence will build from that, and so will the meat in your freezer.

First of all I would only work on shooting at max 20 yrds to start, possibly 10. And if that doesnt work then go to the proshop.
