I have always wanted to do some bow hunting, but I just don't have a bow for one and I am currently looking for a nice one. I have looked at some nice PSE's and some nice Bear Bows but I am just trying to find a nice bow that doesn't run over 600 dollars. Anyone know of a good reliable bow?

You can get a lot of nice used bows off of ebay or the archery talk classifieds. In some cases they are brand new but last years models so people are trying to get rid of them.

Try shooting a bowtech Tomkat... It comes with everything for around 500-550 (sight/dampeners/quiver/whisker bisquit). I absolutely love mine, I've got pretty long arms but with everything on it with my plain hunting arrows I am still getting 310fps. It might not be right for you but it has a really tall brace height (which means accuracy) but it's still compact since the bow is only like 33". I really didn't bow hunt much at all until I got that bow because I didn't feel confident shooting over 20yds. But now if one gets 50yds or less I start looking for a window.

I have a bow bow for sell. Its a PSE Pro Series Diamondback with the Lightening Cam. 29" draw length and set at 65lbs draw weight...... both settings are fully adjustable. Rated at 305fps from the factory. It has a Pendulum Gracity sight, Drop away arrow rest, slabalizer, full limb saver kit, string leeches,PSE removable quiver, 3 brand new Victory carbon arrows with blazer veins, 2 older easton arrows, 3 brand new flatline quad braodheads, and 2 older tri broadheads, and a brand new Tru Fire realease ($60.00 release). I'll let the whole setup go for $300 plus shipping. You wont find a better deal then that i promise...... and its a very accurate and great shooting bow.

i just got a fred bear instinct and i love it, go with what feels good for you and for hunting you don't need the most expensive equipment, you just need something that will last and be reliable. good luck on finding a bow if you haven't already

have not shot the new mission bow.  but if you are looking for reliability, matthews makes these bows.  They are pretty good about reliability  listed at 599 but may be able to talk your dealer down a few bucks with a package.
