I used to shoot a whisker biscuite until I got hurt and went to a cross bow.I never had any trouble from my w/b,I really liked mine.I'm sure you will get lots of different opinions.

I have a Tiger tuffy (that's what the bow shop guy told me it was called when he set up my bow) It works well. I've heard of the whisker biscuit but never seen one,

That depends on the application. I used to have a drop away but it was not very forgiving in the stand while hunting in windy conditions. I now have a w/b and love it for hunting. During the off season at my club I see alot of dropaways for the target aspect. I dont plan on switching but I can see the benifits both ways.

I've not used any drop away type of rest, but have had a wisker- biscut for the past 5 seasons. Not only does it keep the arrow in place at any shot angle. I have found that it last longer than any other rest that I've used ie... rest guides, felt, springs, bearings. It may cost you a foot or two per second but I Wouldn't shoot anything else!

I like my drop away but have never used a whisker biscuit. The rip cord drop away gives you the same benefits of a whisker biscuit though.

the w/b is quieter than most drop aways at least thats been my experience, I`ve had a couple different types of drop aways and it`s a pain in the a$$ if you sit in your stand with your bow across your lap bc when you raise it up to shoot you have to make sure the arrow is sitting where it should be but with the w/b your arrow is always where it`s supposed to be.

sound or speed had nothing to do with my choice of a drop away....I have found FOR ME, that a drop away is more forgiving at far out distances....around 40+ yards.  If tuned correctly, any slight flaw in the heat of the moment is minified MORE with a drop away in my opinion

Any really good shooter (competitive etc)  could take any set up and still shoot lights out.

I have a W/B and love it simply b/c then i don't have to worry about my arrow falling off coming and going the woods.  I may loose some speed but i don't take long enough shots to make that much of a difference.  I have never had a drop away so can't really copmpare them.

rip cord drop away and ultra rest  range from 90 to 100....I got mine on closeout for 80 and have been shooting with it for over a year with no mechanical probs at all.

i used to have a browning fusion....215 feet per second on  a good day with aluminum arrows.  Before I bought the drop away i had a fixed rest, Not a wbsct...anyway with the fixed rest, the best I could do was 3-6 groups at no farther than 25 yards....no matter what i did I just could not get any tighter groups.

THE SAME DAY I bought a dropaway for the browning, my grouping was good out to 29 yards with tighter groups....however at distances beyond that I promised myself I would not shoot at a deer because of the speed of the bow.  So I never really shot beyond that.....

When i bought my new bow, the same rest has gotten me out to 45 yards with carbons at 3-5 inch groups....

however, I will not shoot at ANYTHING (whitetail) beyond 30 yards even with my current set up

In any case the drop away is all I have ever used and for me has been very forgiving.

I am sure it will do the same for you.

hope this helps
