I've had enough of my aluminums and am switching to carbons. I'm currently shooting XX78 2315's with 125 gr wasp broadheads cut at 28 1/2 in. pulled over 30 in of draw. I'd like to reduce my draw wt to about 62 lbs from 66 lbs. If someone out there who is smarter than I could figure out my current knetic energy and give a suggestion for a comparable Xweave setup I'd greatly appreciate it. How would the switch effect my fps? Or, would by going 'thinner' and lighter in the broadhead ie:100 gr, increase the speed enough to compensate for the loss of KE from the 'heavy' arrow? I use a release and a WB for a rest. Thanks in advance, Busted

safe thing to do is take it to a pro shop.let them do it.safermine is 29 in.draw draw weight 60.i shoot easton axis 400 arrows.i have shot Alum. and carbon seem to be a better shooting arrow.faster.I also use 100gr. broad heads and a release and use the WB.spped now is about 300fps.

If you want to figure out what your KE is check out the Mathews forums as they have a calculator under their Technical FAQ section. You need to know your total arrow weight and speed. As far as speed wise I believe you will lose about 1 FPS for every 3 grains over the IBO specs that your total arrow weight is.

If you are going to use the PSE Radial X Weaves then you can either shoot the 200's or 300's at that draw weight. I would probably lean to the 200's but you would want to go to a 100gr broadhead. Check out ebay when you get them a few times. I bought a dozen of the 300's at the pro shop for 85 bucks and then found them on ebay for 47 bucks a dozen shipped. They won't be cut but it will only cost you a couple of bucks to get that done...
