| Well, after a season using the Hot Dot from Summit, I have to give it a thumbs down! Good idea gone bad. Open viewfinder with nothing but a red dot seems great but with this system it does not work. Problem #1. Plastic insert that the dot reflects off of gets dusty, wet, and if cold enough freezes up. It also reflects sunlight when aiming in the direction of the sun making it hard to see dot.
#2, Very complicated to set up for us redneck types. Trying to turn dots on and off for various distances and multible settings is difficult. Fortunatly I am shooting a fast bow and only needed 1 pin out to 30 yds. #3, on very bright days, unless you used 1 dot, multible dot settings were impoosible to see. Just not bright enough.
I'll be swiching next year to a pendulm type, one pin sight. Not sure what yet. | | | |
