| Is there a better broadhead than others to use for sticking a wild hog and can that same broadhead be used to kill a deer? What are good whitetail deer broadheads? What are good turkey broadheads? If you haven't figured it out yet, I am just starting into the bowhunting world. I currently am shooting a 70lb. compound bow with Crimson Cuda expandable broadheads. Any suggestions and or advice is welcome.
Thanks! | |

| | I am a really big fan of the NAP Spitfire expandable broadheads. I have been shooting them at everything and never had one break. I have bent a couple of blades blowing through my target bag and hitting the stump but everyone that I have put through a deer went right back in the quiver. I put one through 2 shoulders and it didn't even need sharpening. I have heard that you want to use fixed blades for turkeys though. I have heard both sides but it makes sense that game that small might not open the blades on impact. | | "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." Benjamin Franklin | |

| | i recomend the crimson talons for me they fly just like a field point and the hole the leave in the animal is amazing and it doesnt clot up so a very unmistakeable blood trail | | | |

| | I use 100's but that's just me. I have a Bowtech set on 73. 125's add a little more weight and make your bow quieter, but if you are using carbons I would go with the 100 grain for speed. The new MX-3's are really nice but a little pricey, the original Muzzys are the same price for 6 instead of 3 MX-3's and people have been killing big game with them for a long time and it's an extreme rarity to hear anyone talk bad about them. Thunderhead 100's are also really good fixed blades. I used them for a LONG time and really liked the accuracy, with either one you will be happy I'm sure... | | "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." Benjamin Franklin | |

| | Thanks for the advise. When I first got my bow set up the shop that did it told me to use bear broadheads at 145 gr. I used them and had very good success but I knew they would be too heavy for the carbons. | | | |
