| | last year i bought a new matthews switchback and it will not shoot any of the fixed broadheads that i have tried so far. i have talked to a guy at a tuning shop and he told me that most bows that shot over 270fps want shot fixed broadheads that well,is there any fixed broadheads that will shot out of my bow?WHAT DO I DO? | | | |

| | I don't think that it is your bow at all, as long as you have it tuned right... I am shooting about 315fps and haven't had any problems. I would try a different type of broadhead first, still fixed blade just a different brand. The fixed blades that have solid blades I don't think fly very well. The Muxxy MX-3 and many others have a slot cut out in them so I think that they turn better and don't affect the flight as much as solid blades. How many grain broadheads are you shooting anyway? 100gr? 125gr? | | "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." Benjamin Franklin | |

| | What spline of arrows do you use??? I assume you are shooting carbon arrows??? I use a 300 spline carbon with 100 grain broadheads and it works perfect on my 70# 30" Draw Bowtech and I'm shooting pretty dang fast. If I went to 125's it would still be fine but when you first fire the bow, the more you have on the front of the arrow the more it will bend and if you are using to light of spline strength on your arrows it will cause it to bend even more making it harder for it to recover once it leaves the rest... You can go to Easton Arrows website and look at what kind of spline you shoule be using for your draw length and draw weight. Many people get arrows like the Rebel Lite 250's because they are only like $55 for a dozen but shooting as fast as you are 270+ they are just not strong enough... Lighter arrows are faster but much louder and for me I like being on the lighter end for speed but if you are too light it will affect your accuracy... What brand and model of broadhead are you having problems with? | | "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." Benjamin Franklin | |

| | Try the crimson talons. I had the same problem with a switchback and it shoots fine with the talons. I would still get the bow looked at before spending money on new broadheads. the last thing you want to do is waste the money just to find out it was the bow and not the broadheads. | | Live life 8 seconds at a time | |

It depends on your rest. You need to come to full draw and have someone mark your arrow about a half an inch in front of the rest. I shoot a 30" draw let out an addittional .5" and my arrows are only 29.5" | | "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." Benjamin Franklin | |

| | Both of the guys i hunt with have the switchback and all three of us shoot 1 grain 3 blade muzzy. Shot groups are awesome all around. I think you need to look elsewhere, not the fixed broadheads. | | | |
