| Who cares what others think when it comes to hunting. If it gets you in the woods then go for it. What dose your fish & game say?? We can use them in Arkansas. | | | |

| I have used a Barnett Revolution to hunt deer for the past two seasons. I have taken 3 deer with it so far and have had a blast doing it. We can only use crossbows during muzzleloader and rifle season unless you have an upper limb disability. It may get changed one day to a primitive weapon in SC, but Im just happy that they aren't banned altogether like our neighbors to the north in NC.
A crossbow does not increase your range like most people think. I wouldn't use mine any further than 50 yards, same as with my regular bow. The only real benefit I see is not having to draw at the moment of truth. That doesn't seem to be an unfair advantage to me.

| | Let the other hunters get their own disability. If a crossbow is what it takes to get you in the woods, then for heavens sake, get one and get in the woods. | | | |

| Like the others said above, I say go for it. If your disabled and a crossbow will help keep you hunting go for it. I don't have a problem with crossbows, I say if it's legal in your area, whether or not your disabled or not, then so be it.
In fact I don't even see why some peole call it cheating for anyway. I mean so it is kind of like a gun. What does that suppose to mean? Some people can't hit the broad side of a barn with a gun. That doesn't mean your always going to get the animal that you are hunting with a crossbow. just like a gun, I don't know of very many people to do out hunting with a gun and come back with something every time. Same goes with a bow and so the same goes with a crossbow. The only thing I really have to say about it is if it's legal to use it then do it. | | Ronald Lee Ray Jr. rrjr11@cox.net Disabled Navy Veteran

| | go for it!i believe the people who say it gives you an unfair advantage have never picked one up.it's still a bow thus making it a short range weapon | | | |

| | if the people who think it's unfair, had a disability that kept them from hunting ,were able to stay out of the woods then it would be a unfair advantage-but they haven't had to pack one into the woods they are heavy compared to these 4or5 lb bows- they definitly are harder to draw back -and they are not cheap---go get em | | | |

| | I hung up my compound about 8 years ago and started hunting with a crossbow, Ohio has no limits, legal the entire archery season. Love it do most of my hunting on the ground this bow makesit easier without having to draw a bow back. Have killed about 25-30 deer with my Horton Hawk no scope just the one pin. Shoot the spitfire broadheads most deer have gone down within sight of me. | | | |

| | I think it's a great idea and should be allowed for use by everyone not just disabled. Kids would really benefit from being able to use a crossbow since they often do not have the strength to remain at full draw long enough to be successfull hunters. If you are disabled and unable to hold full draw for an extended period you should feel not shame in using a crossbow. If anyone says something to you ask them if they would prefer to kill the deer with their car. | | THUNDERHEAD 125 ))))==========> THE BUCK STOPS HERE | |
