I am fairly new to bowhuning and have been having some problems. I shoot fingers and i use the basic prong rest.  When i shoot i have days were i get good groupings throughout the day then there will be other days where my arrows are all over the place .  I also notice that it seems my arrows do always fly straight.  I was just wondering if there are some things that i should check on my bow or do i just need to keep shooting.

What your describing could be in your technique. Proper stance and proper grip and postioning of the bow are as important as the bow being tuned properly. You can practice all you want but if your not doing things right you will never achieve consistant accuracy. Try going to your local archery shop with a range and ask for some pointers from the other shooters. One thing about folks involed in the outdoor sports is we are never shy about sharing infromation.

I agree with Sam to,talk to the folks at the local pro shop.You may also want to try a release aid,I shot better after using one.
Good luck and stick with it,cause it's a bunch of fun!

get a release would be my advise.and maybe a kisser button to make sure your anchor popint is the same place everytime.

i shot with fingers for many years when i switched my groups instantly shrank.with a release it's the same everytime.fingers even though you think it's the same it will be different every shot

I am in the process of teaching my 12 year old daughter to shoot archery. 
What I tell her is to take her time and make sure she does the same thing every time. Make your first shot the best shot of the session, because an animal will only give you one chance. Plus I only let her shoot from 10 yards right now because we are mainly working on form. If your form is good your accuracy and consistency will always be there.
Also I agree with the posts above. A good release is worth it's weight in gold.

Another thought. Having a level bubble in your sight will also help with your consistency. You would be amazed at how much a little bit of lean will affect your shot.
