Question: We are in South Texas and are fortunate enough to have an irrigation system set up. We usually plant oats and this year will also plant triticale. However, we have one area that isn't set up with irrigation and is a 1-2 acre strip. It's perfect for bow hunting and I want to get crazy and try something else. Does anybody have any recommendations and when to plant it? Thanks for the help!

Best of luck. How about turnips or something that's hearty.

Turnips, huh?  Never thought about that.  Thanks for the great idea.
