I know this pob doesnt belong here. I bought my hoyt in like march or so. Due to a car wreck I wasnt supose to be shooting but started anyway since I wanted to bow hunt and not use a cross bow. I have my permit and all but didnt want to do it. I started resighting in my bow and practing alot the past couple days and seem to of messed a something up in my hand causing to to swell. Im trying to find a cross bow for back up use so to speak so I can still hunt all bow season. LMK if you have something.

RJF, don't worry, all bows are accepted here. I proudly own both compund and recurve crossbows as well as my PSE Primos special 33.

My favorite is the Barnett Revolution. Mine is before the now heavily advertised AVI model, but it still shoots a whopping 345 F.P.S. I have taken 2 deer with it and both were complete pass throughs. I got it for about $350 a year and a half ago from Sportsmans Guide.

Excaliber or the Middletons are probably some of the best out there, but nothing wrong with Horton. Trick is to have fewer moving parts to not cause problems.
good luck with the bow and sorry to hear about the hand

I don't have a crossbow for sale but I'm glad that you are not giving up on the hunting. Hope that you heal soon and are able to go hunting.
