Thanks for your input troyjen30. I thought the same as you. However, after taking the m/l out of the box it has a tag on it stating that it has weathershield. I called TC customer service to verify & they said if it had the tag then it had weathershield.  For those interested I can provide pics & I would recommend that you call TC yourself.
