just got these new arrows and they say you have to epoxy the inserts in.....this is new to me, why cant you just hot glue them in the old fashioned way????????

I would say it has to do with the amount of energy that bows produce. Hot glue will not hold as well. I would only epoxy or similar glue the inserts.

The only connection between you and your deer is the arrow. Insert isn't tight and solid, means that your arrow can't be expected to perform well. Every time you practice, you're stressing the insert on the impact and removal of your arrow. Don't take a chance...
