rumor has it...he lives on city property where no hunting is allowed, thus the big herd and his obvious old age.  I hope that his uniqueness keeps him out of the hands of a poacher.

That means a lot coming from Jkoehler...look at that monster you have on the wall!!!

I'm happy and sad to see him living a protected life. I guess there's truth to the age factor in producing a good rack!

The good thing about this deer is that there was a similar one. Rumor has it, that someone did poach. He bragged it around as he was the greatest hunter around. Unfortunately he told some close friends. They got tired of the stories, so they turned him in. I hope that fear keeps him upright, unless harvested legally.
