| Almost time for my moose hunt, am down to counting the hours before i leave (its 56 hours)
We have a bull tag and 2 cow tags so we are really looking forward to this hunt. Should be at the peak of the rut and they should be answering the calls real well. Last week they had a bit of snow and have had a few days of frost in the mornings.
Hope to have lots of pictures when i get back, and a freezer full of meat. | | | |

I would love to try Moose hunting some day. In fact a month or two ago I tried to see what states in my area has moose and then checked to see how much their tags are for moose. But all of the States north, east, and west of me who has moose, they don't have any tags for nonresidents. Every state in my area who has moose are only for resident hunters of that state. The closest place I found I could go is Canada. And that really sucks!!!

| | Hello Ian, how did you make out on the moose hunt, our three day hunt began today, I didn;t draw a tag this year but some buds are out, deer season opens on Monday for bow for three weeks, so I will be at the coop, and hunting in earnest to be sure, let me know how you lads make out, I will keep you advised on this end, we have some redneck buddies coming from WVa, on thanksgiving and they are bringing a turkey fryer with them, I will be doing baked squash in the oven with sweet potatoes, should be a grand meal with my buddies cornbread and sheets, take care Ian an be safe out there, bob | |
