| | I'm thinking about using a decoy hunting this fall, I was hoping someone could give me a little insight on them because I have never used them before. When do I use a doe and when do I use a buck or is there even a difference when using a decoy? also what is the prime location for a decoy? | | | |

| | on some huntn shows they put the buck decoys out and rattle and grunt alot, and with the does they put doe estrus on them and use the scent drags with doe estrus and trail it to the doe, ive never hunted a decoy, but the live decoys work pretty good, ( a doe) | | SOUTHERN PRIDE | |

| I used a decoy successfully for the first time last year. I was nearing my stand the first week of archery season and decided to go ahead and fold out my Renzo Feeding Doe decoy and have it ready for when I crossed the trail into my intended setup. About 50 yards from the clearing, three doe's stepped onto trail I was walking in on. They froze 20 yards from me, completely entranced by this doe I was holding in front of me. They didn't even stomp or bob their heads as I propped the decoy against my legs and drew my bow back. I took out the lead doe with a quartering-to shot and dropped her in her tracks.
That decoy kept me from getting busted and gave me an opportunity. I definately say they work and worth the trouble. | | | |
