| | I was wondering who makes the best 30.-30. I am looking at a Marlin 336W. My step-dad also has a model 94. I wanted to know witch one is better for deer hunting and some other 30.-30. | | | |

| | marlin wins hands down,it is easier to mount a scope on them & they normaly are very accurate, now that being said all rifles are diffrent & certain ammo may not group well or as good as otheres, browning makes a lever or did that can shoot pointed ammo which give better ballistics,mike243 | | | |

| | Hornady also has come out with ammo designed for lever guns that greatly improves accuracy and ballistics. | | Tubby The God of My Rock;He Is My Sheild; And The Horn Of My Salvation 2 Samuuel,Ch 22 | |

My brother's friend gave me a box of the hornady leverlution(sp?). Never been tothe range with it so i don't know how it will perform on paper. I alos see in the city area here federal 30-30 ammo. I have never seen it since I have been in and around the hunting section at walmart and other places.
I may buy a box or two and see how they perform. | | | |

| | Unless you have owned a Marlin, you might think the Winchester is an O.K. rifle. Marlin has by far the smoothest action lever gun's I have ever shot. My old 30/30 is as good as it get's. | | | |
