| Please help find this deer!
Taken in October 1966 by Johnny Hanika. This was my grandfathers brother.
He shot this deer within 5 miles of Indian Cave State Park in Richardson County Nebraska.
He showed it off that day or possibly the next and then hung the antlers on his dads barn near Barada Nebraska. The next morning, the rack was gone and never seen again.

| I can't say for sure, but as the story has come down through the years, seems like there was a vehicle noise in the night, but didn't alert anyone. Next morning, gone. Guess they didn't think about anyone robbing the rack.
I did get an e mail off of another board about this, but after pictures being emailed back and forth, it wasn't the same rack. My hopes were up. BTW, that almost match was in a high profile establishment in Eastern Nebraska. | | | |
