Generally i like to keep some sort of structures in my plots, currently i have a have a couple of oaks along with a little underbrush here and there and the deer seem to like it this way they have obstacles they can go behind and do not feel so naked out there in the middle of a food plot, just my two cents but they deff. seem to feel more secure with a little protection. Also depending on what type of trees they are they could be benieficial to the feeding cycles such as acorns, persimmons, etc.
