While I was out this last weekend freshening up my salt licks and putting out minerals I saw a little buck with knots on his head. I thought it was a little too early for that and wanted to get my Purina AntlerMax minerals out before they started growing, but I guess they already are!!! Better be gettin' them out there folks...

I got mine ready to go. Just waiting for a call from my hunting buddy. We got to start plowing soon too!!!

I wish we could here. I seriously got my push mower hung up today in my back yard with all the dang rain we had. It just sucked itself in and I had to shut it down so I could jerk it out of there without worrying about running over my feet!

I got mine out today.
Put out a feeder also.
As you can see my stand really blends in well with the trees.
The feeder & mineral lick is just 18 yds from my stand.
Just 6 more months to go before bow season opens. Can't wait!!!!

bet it's really hard to hear them coming through with all those pine needles! Probably have several a year sneak up on you.

Yes I will have to be on my toes while I hunt that stand but there are about 6 active deer trails that come together in that area and that was the reason I put that stand in there. That whole pine thicket about 60 to 80 acers is just covered up with trails that crisscross it.

Now is when the antlers are starting the most important part of their growth... Nobody really jumps on it until it gets closer to season but the really need the nutrients now.
