| I know I will get alot of different opinions, but that's why I want to ask.
I shoot a CVA Magbolt 150 using 100 grns of pyrodex with power belt bullets 254 grn areo tip.
My questions are: what bullet do most of you prefer and in wat grn?
I have had the gun for several years and never killed a deer with it.I can hit dead center at 100 yds with the load I described. | | Tubby The God of My Rock;He Is My Sheild; And The Horn Of My Salvation 2 Samuuel,Ch 22

| the grns changes from bullet to bullet, almost all the brands of bullets will give you good 100yard accuarcy, its all about finding the right size bullet to shoot.
thing is the length of the bullets are never the same from one bullet to the next because of the wadds or etc. you can have 2 differant brand 200 grain bullets and they be differant in length because of there wadds or etc.
thats why youll see one person say 250 grain powerbelts and the other persons saying 150 grain hornady and another guy saying 200 grain t/c, and all three have the same gun. everything changes from one brand of bullets to the other. it all has to do with FPS and RPM

| | I used to shoot powerbelts but in the past two years I have gone to 100 grains of pellets pushing a 250 grain T/C Shockwave...the hole this bullet blows is amazing...always an excellent bloodtrail | | | |

| | used to shoot a hornady 195 grain hollow point bullet with 100 grains of pyrodex....changed to a powerbelt 295 grain hollow point with 100 grains of pyrodex both are very accurate for my cva staghorn inline...think i might go back to hornady tho bc they are cheaper and they seemed to be a little better at spreading out on impact | | If Its Brown It's Down! | |

| | for the last three seasons, I have used 100 grains of triple 7 pellets pushing a 295 grain powerbelt hollowpoint in a CVA optima with a simmons scope on. this combo shoots a 1 inch group at 100 yards. I have it running 4 inches high there so I can shoot out to about 175 with no hold over. 4 deer have gone down to this with no need for trailing. This year I am going to shoot 150 grains of powder and a 245 grain caose I put one of those new Nikon muzzleloader scopes on it. Have not shot that yet put will sometimes soon. | | | |

| | I shoot a Knight rifle with two 50gr Pyrodex pellets and use T/C Mag Express 240 gr XTP bullets. This set-up seems to shoot just fine for me. | | | |

| | I tried the pwerbelts and did not like the way they performed or shot out of my gun. I made a switch to Hornaday XTPs and they are more accurate out of my gun and they perform really well. This is just me and my gun, your mileage may vary | | | |

| | I have tried quite a few bullets over the years. I currently am using Powerbelt hollow points in my in-line muzzleloader. I like them and have taken several deer with them. I have also taken deer with maxi's molded by a friend of mine and I took two deer years ago with patched round balls stuffed down my .050 caliber Hawkins. I later used the maxi balls made by my friend because I figured they packed more whallop. At least I felt more whallop on my end of the rifle. I can say from experience though that you can take deer with round balls out to 110 yards. That was the longest shot I tried. It was a low neck shot that hit her spine. The doe literally dropped in her tracks. | | If it wouldn't a been good I wouldn't a done it. | |

| I run 150 gr of 777 pushing 300gr shockwaves in my knight disc extreem.
the first hundred yards are dead on but its the 150 and 200 yard shots where this load shines.
the 300gr shockwaves hold GREAT knockdown at higher yardage.drop is about a half inch more than 250gr at 150 yards.
