Purchased a 2008 Bowtech Tomkat on Sunday. Haven't had a chance to shoot besides at the retailer.....waiting on parts to make it a 31 draw.....currently 30.5

Bow hunted last season for the first time ever with a borrowed bow.

Now I am addicted!!!!!

I got an 07 with a 31" draw and love it! You will be more addicted now that you got your own... :) The sight that comes with it is pretty good but as fast as the bow shoots it needs another pin or so to get you out to 50yds. Just remember to check it every so often to make sure the screws stay tight. I put loc-tite on everything since the bow is fast an eventually will come loose. Let us know how you like it! And if you have any questions about it let me know. I let 2 of my hunting buddies shoot it and they both sold theirs and got one.

You must be a tall drink o' water to need a 31" draw. If you have always been a 'gunner' and have just recently taken up the bow, I'll almost put $ on it that the dust will build up on those guns before you feel the urge to pick them up again. Personally, I started out with rifle, then crossbow, finally compound. The next step is to a longbow but I'm content for now. The rifle only gets used for 'yotes and husbandry on the farm. Actually, I've 'put down' a few cull cows with my bow, just to keep the string warm. LOL. Glad to have ya as one of us!
