| for 5 years i had been hunting the same piece of property unti the year before last. the owners finally sent someone down to make sure no one was on the place. it is a 100 ac track some good bottoms with a small creek the ran thru one side of it. until recently it had a good mixer of hardwood and pines on it. they just clear cut all the pines out last month. it is a good location for me because it across the road from me. does anyone know how i can find out who owns the property besides going to the county tax office. now ive ask people around my place who have farms about doing a little hunting on thier places and theyve all said no. so ive had to make trip to south ga to get my deer any advise on how i can find some local places here in mid ga

| | try doing a google search for the county tax office where you are and looking to see if they have parcel maps. you can search within the database to see who owns what property etc... it'll save you a trip to the office. next thing you should try is to start knocking on doors. never hurts to ask. | | Even on the hottest or coldest days, deer still eat, fish still swim, so why not go and get 'em. | |

| | Why can't you just sneak on like you did before without permission and give hunters a bad rap like you did at the last place??? If people didn't do that so often nowadays those farmers that you asked may have said yes!!!!! | | "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." Benjamin Franklin | |

| | Not trying to be an ^$% that stuff just kills me. Finding a place to hunt is part of the hunt. But since it's a step in the right direction you can stop by your county's extension office or a farmers co-op and ask to look at their plot maps. I don't think they are called Co-Ops down south like they are here in Indiana but they are all-farmer owned business where they buy their bulk fertilizer, gas, L.P., anhydrous ammonia, etc.... Most of the tracks of land that are bigger than five acres will have a name stamped on them. | | "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." Benjamin Franklin | |

| no game if you did not have permission to hunt the property you are trespassing!!!! you can find out who owns a track of land and ask for permission. if not STAY OFF. THERE IS NOTHING WORSE TO A LAND OWNER THAN TO HAVE SOMEONE ON THERE PROPERTY DOING WHAT EVERY THEY WANT WITHOUT PERMISSION!!! | | | |

| This is a touchy subject with me, our lease is violated by trespassers who are poaching illegally from time to time. Not as much in recent years because we deal with them severely. Some of them give the excuse "I've hunted this land for __ years" and think this is an entitlement. Others say" my dog can't read no trespassing signs". If you are hunting land and don't have DIRECT permission from a landowner you are a trespasser and in some states you can lose your hunting license. There is NO excuse! Go to the county tax office, find the owner and get written permission. Mike | | | |

| I also think it's unfair for someone to reap the benifits from a lease that a club or group have put a time and money into. It doesn't take a great deal of effort ,most times,to locate and contact a land owner. I for one will not risk an arrest and lose of hunting privledges. | | Tubby The God of My Rock;He Is My Sheild; And The Horn Of My Salvation 2 Samuuel,Ch 22 | |

| | Did you have permission before you were asked to leave? Just because the owners are hundreds of miles away and the good spot is just across the road it doesn`t make it right to trespass, and as for finding another tract of land to hunt I would suggest placing an ad in a local newspaper you might get lucky a get a real honey hole to hunt. | | | |
