| I have a problem, This weekend I was hunting and had a doe come in at low light.... What we call the golden Hour. Anyways pulled back on her and couldnt see thru my peep.. Was just blurry!!!! Couldnt focus at all. And had it happin again yesterday evening. Is there anything I can do about this?? I need help!! Do I need to get knew sites? Is there bigger peeps? About 9 months ago I had to start waring glasses when I read. Any help would be appreciated | | | |

| | I had the same problem with the peep sights that have the elastic band to turn them straight. The barrel you look through is too long and the hole is too small. I trimmed that little hood off of it with a file and made my hole just a lil bit bigger before I had to put a new peep in and start re-sighting it in and it helped me a bunch. | |

| | what type of sight pins are you using? You might want to try fiber optics, another trick is to drill out the peep hole , making it 1/16 `` larger will let in alot more residual light thus increasing visibility. | | | |

| Im useing TruGlo Sites, and I could see them but couldnt focus looking thru the peep. Ive never had this problem before...... We are leaving for an 8 day hunt this friday so I need to do something this week.  | | | |

| G5 has several different styles of peep sights, any idea on the radial inner diameter?
G5 has some up to 1/4" which will give you loads of room to look through, even with glasses *G*

The style i use doesn;t have the bungie cord to straighten it out and i find it much better

| | Sorry that didn't come out right... :? I tried doing that instead of having to buy a new one and have to redo everything during season and it worked great. I hate changing a bunch of stuff unless it's summertime and I am not freezing my but off out there trying to re-sight it! Good luck!! | |

Im not sure Ian, But I know it is really small, And I dont use the one with the bungie eather. I never liked those. And thanks for the help, will check them out, right now...

| | Most times the light of early morning is less than that of late evening. As with most sights you can't go by the glow factor of your sights. Forget the glow point and go by the dark point at the end of the sight. Pretend that you have no glow point. Remember, if there is a curve to the point, then compensate for it and adjust left and right accordingly. Practice on a target for a few hours using the most distant edge of your sight pin as the distance point. Adjust accordingly. Think like an old time hunter and use the basics. Forget glows and such...use the pin. Only the pin. Hope this helps. | | | |

| I have to agree with rnwinter. Since you know you started wearing glasses to read, you may need to wear them for hunting as well. Have you tried looking through your peep with the glasses on? Sorry if you did this already, I dont' remember seeing this in the other posts.

| i had the same issue earlier in the year. instead of going to the optometrist, first i tried readjusting how i shoot, using two eyes, using the left eye to view the target and the right eye to get the pin... didnt like that one bit. i next tried drilling the peep out from 3/8" to 1/4". then got fed up with the site later and just took it out all together and now shoot looking just next to the string, definitely helps shooting in low-light conditions, but you have to make sure you are very consistent in anchor and contact points are useful...

| go to an eye doc that likes to bowhunt and they will talk your ear off about what you can do to solve the problem!

| I wanted to tell everyone that offerd me advice, thank you much!!!! I was pretty worried my bow hunting for this season was over, before it even began.. But seems like there are a few things I can try. Gonna try the drilling out of my peep first, and uhhhh wareing my glasses  ..... And if that dont work I'll have a knew (bigger one) put on. | | You don't need to drill the sight jist get a sight with a larger hole. Bass Pro, Sportsmans Warehouse and Cabalos all sell larger size peeps. I had to go to a larger size when I got old (lol). Just my 2 cents. | |
