| | I have a question about the glass bedding in the A-Bolt? I understand this helps out the accuracy with the rifle. Is this same feature in the BAR as well? Just by comparing apples to apples I was looking into getting a composite stock with a blued barrel. The A-Bolt version seems to stand out to me more than the BAR version. I have heard that the A-Bolt version is just a stripped down version of the stainless stalker only lacking the stainless steel barrel, but with all other features. The BAR longtrac, from reviews I have read, sounds to me like a junked up BAR safari? Is that true? Just curious. I want to invest into my first rifle and don't want to have to come back next year for another, at least not by buying junk the first round. Don't get me wrong I hear that anything Browning is good. I just don't want to find the black sheep of the bunch. | |

| The BAR longtrack, is a little differant than the safari. bioth are good guns.
i own and have been useing there new BAR Longtrack since they came out with that model, i think ive used it for 3 seasons now. got it in 7mm rem mag, wood stock etc. no Boss on it but i didnt want the boss thing anyway.
i changed up my ammo from testing differant brands and etc. everything i shot groups good, if you ask me its accuracy with everyting i ran threw it remington , winchester, federal, etc etc. all did good enofe to say you can shoot the bullet you want to shoot and expect a good group.
anyway, I use 150 grain Federal nosler ballistic tips. out of all the shooting, those rounds conistenly shoot a SUB zero groups, best group being just a hair under 1/2 inch, you could cover the thing up with a dime. thats all 100yard shooting off sand bags. the 7mm is a tight shooting caliber anyway, but even if the gun shoots any better than that, i cant tell you because i cant shoot better than that. | |

| I had an A-Bolt composite w/ Boss in 7mm mag and it always hit where I aimed. I liked the gun and it wasn't too expensive. I once saw an A-Bolt Eclipse and knew I wanted one. After several seasons with the composite, I traded it in and got an Eclipse. I'm not sure about the BAR, but every one I know with an A-Bolt likes it. I have never heard a complaint.
