-- This is not the typical story that you receive. Although my husband is a hunter, I shoot with a camera, not a gun.
I live in the small town in North Eatern, Ore. We have a lot of deer in our area. As I looked out my bedroom window one evening, I saw this mule deer buck munching away on the bird seed in my feeders.
I grabbed my camera and ran out back and sat with this guy for an hour, shooting about 100 pictures of him.
While keeping an eye on me to make sure I didn’t disturb his dinner, the buck finished off both feeders.
There was another buck that I almost came face-to-face with while taking the photographs, but he walked around and joined the other buck. I missed a shot of both deer feeding from the feeders at the same time.
Gotta love living in a small town!
Our local newspaper published a photo of the bird seed bandit on the front page, and one of the reporters wrote a very funny story to go with it.
I also posted a couple of video clips of the buck on You Tube, which you can view by clicking here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWQ0SIh6uuc
