Arkansas Hunter Education Classes Scheduled

From Arkansas Game and Fish Commission

-- Many hunter education classes will be conducted by Arkansas Game and Fish Commission volunteer instructors at locations across the state during the coming weeks.

Although instructor-led classes offer students a rounded educational experience, there are other options for people who can't make it to a class.

"We prefer that people attend a class, but we offer an online version and a CD-ROM course that can be completed at the student's convenience," said Joe Huggins, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission hunter education coordinator. "The test must still be administered at an official AGFC testing center, but the two computerized study options make it easier for people to get their hunter education card."

Completion of a hunter education course is required in Arkansas for hunters born after Dec. 31, 1968.

The courses, which are free, can be found at the Arkansas Game and Fish website: www.agfc.com.
