From Arizona Game and Fish Commission
-- Spring hunt dates for turkey, javelina, buffalo and bear have been established in Arizona, but the hunt permit level for turkeys is down significantly because of the Wallow Fire.
Arizona's Commission also set the first-ever hunt permits initially for Hunt Unit 13B for Rio Grande turkey, which were introduced to Arizona in 2008.
The spring 2012 hunt application process may become available online but the online system is undergoing testing. The department expects spring hunt regulations will be available Aug. 17 online. Printed versions will be available in early September. The spring hunt application deadline is Oct. 11.
The Commission expects spring hunting licenses will be available online starting Aug. 19, although they will not be available for purchase at license dealers until Aug. 29.
