Yup,finally got up.It's pretty chilly here in bama,mid to lower 40's.

Back at work tonight yeeehaw. Worked on building a shed for my wifes pet Donkeys today.

Well,I won't be at work for the next 4 months at the very least.Gonna have more surgery on my hand and to top it all off the lumber mill where I WAS working let a bunch of us go due to the economy.

Yeah,I got hurt at work two years ago.I fell and cut a nerve and most of my tendons in my left hand and now it's surgery #4.
I got up this morning to go bow hunting(crossbow).When I walked out the door I was meet by a 18 to 20 mph wind,so I just turned around and went back in.(wahhhhhh!)

Yeah, windy mornings it's easy to go back to bed.

Glad to hear that Tubby (the last surgery part)... I know you have been fighting that for some time.

As for the hunting I wouldn't know... I've been working all the time and haven't made it out there yet. Hopefully tomorrow morning I will be sitting amongst the trees.

Looks like I will be off all hunting season(man that sucks just kidding)If I wasn't off with my hand.....I was let go at the saw mill due to the economy,not crying though....God will see me through it.

He always does tubby. Move over a little west my way a few hundred miles where work is growing...although I dunno about saw mill type work.

Thanks Howard,before getting the job at the mill, I worked construction with my Dad....running doziers,back hoes and track hoes and stuff like that.I'll be looking in about 3 or 4 months when I get over my last surgery.It's time for this mess to be over.Good luck this year !

Sorry to hear about the job Tubby. Things are getting thin at my plant too. I'm seeing the warning signs of a lay-off coming up.

First- all the temps are let go

Second - no more overtime for anyone

Third - random drug testing

and the fourth sign came yesterday - week long shutdown for the Thanksgiving holiday

The only good news for me is that usually Maintenance personell are the very last to be laid-off. But after 5 years, I'm still the low man on the totem pole in that category too.

Glad to see some of "old faces".
I have a few options I plan to explore,thinking of going back to school to be a gun smith.
