The WV DNR is proposing an Elk Management Plan! With Ky having a success elk herd, and due to the common border with WV, the WV DNR has decided they should put together a management plan with goals.

Apparently this is a passive plan, where the WV DNR isn't proposing the stocking of elk, but to develop a plan for the elk that migrate out of Ky into WV.

I would prefer to see them take a more pro active role, with the introduction of stocking elk to get a herd established.

Hopefully sometime in the not to distance future WV will be having elk hunts.
