Man everyone has different opinions here. I personally like my Tasco 3-9x40 scopes. I have them on all three of my 30-06's. I have a Remington Model 742 BDL semi-auto, a Remington Model 760 BDL pump and a Remington Model 700 and all of them have the Tasco 3-9 x 40 scopes on them. I have been hunting with them for years. ONLY had one ever fog up on me. My 22 bolt action rifle that I use to squirrel hunt even has a 3-9 x40 scope on it. There are so many brands and so many different prices. This has to be a personal choice...go to a local shop and just look at all of them and find what you think best fits you. |

I have Bushnell scopes on 2 of my rifles, but I grew up on Tasco scopes. No complaints out of either.Tasco is hard to beat for the price. |

Yes there will be alot of arguments but I for one will spend less on a rifle to get a better scope. I shoot with Leupolds and Bausch and Lomb. |

I think my favorite would have to be my Bushnell Elite 3200 FireFly 3x9x50 |

I like my Nikon Prostaff. It's a great scope for not a lot of money. |

Greetings from Ohio,i have 5 different caliber deer rifles, and i have used most of the" budget" scopes with only one complaint,i had a bushnell 3x9 40 om my ruger model 77 in 7mm.mag,after three shots the scope would become off zero by about 5 inches elevation and 10-16 windage,i replaced the scope with a Leupold vari x 2 and have had nothing but excellent performance,I switched all my other rifles to Leupold, and have never had a problem with any of them, for a low budget Tasco is pretty reliable, but for the extra dollars,i would highly recomend getting a Leupold, roughly $300.00,more or less depending on the model, hope this helps, John |
